Today we saw the IDF strike back. Israel will not allow Hamas to get away with consistent rocket attacks. The IDF retaliation last night, and today, was only the beginning of what Israel needs to do to strike back at Hamas. Most Israelis wish Israel would do much more to destroy Hamas, to stop their consistent rocket assaults and terror against Israel. However, other strategic factors are currently holding Israel back from going full force into Gaza to destroy Hamas. That day will come. Just not yet.
Israel Destroying Hamas Infrastructure in Gaza
IDF Strikes Back
IDF fighter jets targeted over 20 Hamas terror sites in military compounds and training camps. Among the sites targeted were a weapons manufacturing & storage facility, a complex used for the Hamas’ naval force, and a military compound used for rocket launching experiments.
Additionally, five training camps were targeted as well as a main warehouse and a meeting point used by the senior commanders of the Khan Yunis Brigade. Thus far, over 140 of Hamas’ strategic military sites have been targeted.
The strike was conducted in response to the rockets launched from Gaza at Israel throughout the night.

Hamas Rocket Attacks
The last 13 hours in Israel.
Each of these alerts means an air raid siren sounded, signalling an incoming rocket from Gaza. Each of these alerts also meant that the people living in the area under attack from Gaza only had a few seconds to run for cover. #IsraelUnderAttack pic.twitter.com/uP5miNh8uS— IDF (@IDFSpokesperson) August 9, 2018
