The hypocrisy of those who championed Israel’s immoral destruction of it’s own communities in Gaza 18 years ago was clear as day 18 years ago. Even if one believed that it would somehow usher in a more safe Israel and a happier future, there was nothing democratic, nothing moral, and nothing honest about what was done to nearly 10,000 pioneering Jews who lived in the Gaza Strip.
The champions of destruction of the Jewish Communities in the Gaza Strip were many. They were bothered that Israel needed to spend tens of millions of dollars every month guarding less than 10,000 settlers. That was the exact terminology used.
It turns out that less than 10,000 settlers were the main reason that millions of Israelis were safe and secure. Israel needed to invest tens of millions of dollars each month to keep them safe. Once they were kicked out, Israel began spending hundreds of millions of dollars each month and the heart of Israel’s population has become target practice for missiles from the Gaza Strip, and the communities outside the Gaza Strip were massacred.
Lest anybody claim that nobody could have imagined what would transpire, the facts are that a vast majority of Israelis voted against any form of destruction of the Gaza Strip Jewish communities in the national election. Moreover, a majority of the Likud members voted against the plan to destroy the Jewish communities in a national Likud referendum on the plan.
The only way that the plan was approved was due to the dictatorial powers that the Prime Minister has in manipulating the Knesset, the overarching power of the Supreme Court, and the immoral national TV channels that all colluded in order to screw the settlers. Please excuse the language – but there is no other way of putting it that is accurate.
Ariel Sharon, probably the greatest war hero in the history of the State of Israel, clearly prioritized his hold on power more than the welfare of the country when he made the decision to destroy the Jewish communities of the Gaza Strip. The Supreme Court’s rulings disallowed dealing with clear security threats. This led to massacres and killings of Jewish lives in the Gaza Strip. Most of all, the Supreme Court saw nothing immoral in a country throwing 10,000 Jews out of their homes in order to create a terror State in the Gaza Strip.
The rectification of the terrible deeds of 18 years ago will be costly. First, it will include the total destruction of the Hamas and removal of all weapons from the Gaza Strip. This will be costly, but Israel is unified and determined. Second, Israel must maintain control of everything that goes in and out of the Gaza Strip. But the most important part of fixing the mess that Israel created 18 years ago includes Israel paying money and using all means to depopulate the Arab population in the Gaza Strip, and resettling the Jewish communities exactly where they were 18 years ago.
It is not as expensive to pay hundreds of thousands of Arabs to leave as it is expensive to guard Israel from hundreds of thousands of Arabs who stay. The big lie of Arabs being connected to the Land of Israel is something that all Arabs know about. There is no deep connection to the Land for nearly any of the Arabs. Let them go to South America, Australia, UAE, or anywhere they want. One way tickets should be sponsored by the Israeli government. It’s time to solve the problem once and for all.
