Will 2023 be a repeat of 2019? Donald Trump vs. Joe Biden? It certainly is a possibility. But, there still is a long way to go till we get to that point. It is still hard to fathom that 80 year old Joe Biden is truly planning to launch a reelection bid. But that is certainly the talk on the street of the Democrat Party.

The main reason Joe Biden is still talking about reelection is because there are no polls indicating that anyone can beat him. The Democrat Party has never been able to bring up anyone from the political ranks ever since Barack Obama. Odds are that the next serious candidate will come from outside of the world of politics. There are many wealthy businessmen and businesswomen who saw what Donald Trump accomplished and are mulling a run for high office. The timing could not be better for an outsider to enter the political fray of the Democrat Party. Stay tuned.

On the Republican side of the aisle, the situation is exactly the opposite. There are so many excellent candidates that they each cloud the chances of each other. And of course, there is the Trump factor. Donald Trump, who has proven to be an overwhelmingly popular candidate in the Republican Party primaries, may very well be the weakest candidate in a national election. But never count Donald Trump out. He is a true fighter, and he is angry about what he thinks was a stolen election in 2020.

In the Republican primaries, there will almost certainly be one or two critical primary contests that Donald Trump will lose. At those critical junctures, if all of the non-Trump candidates coalesce around the leading non-Trump candidate, whether it be DeSantis, Haley, Pence, or someone else, then Donald Trump may actually lose the primary contest.

But don’t count on it. Odds are that nearly every Republican candidate is actually fighting for front runner status in 2028 – except for Donald Trump. So, they will be more than happy to come in 2nd place in ’24. Trump will probably outfox and outpace every Republican candidate and win the primaries, unless there is a master plan to bring him down. It will indeed probably be the most fascinating election since 1968.
