Donald Trump’s Presidency will be remembered for many things. Perhaps the most underrated aspect is the fact that he has been willing – time and again – to take on issues that others kicked down the road towards future administrations.
His entire policy with Iran is not very popular with many Americans at this point. But if he is correct and gas prices plummet when he finishes the job and Iran ceases to be a regional and international threat, Trump’s popularity will probably skyrocket.
He is certainly a risktaker which can be rather unsettling. But it is a fantastic thing that Donald Trump has succeeded in scaring the dangerous actors of the world into submission. Iran is still a big question mark. But they are certainly a much weakened question mark. And China, there main supplier knows this.
President Trump has decided to not confront China directly, but to confront their allies. This is probably a wise move on the international scene that is keeping Taiwan safe from China’s expansionism.
His speech at the UN may not have been Churchillian, but it was effective.
