After Israel launched a surprise attack on Iran Thursday night, which has continued, Iran sent a number of barrages of ballistic missiles at Tel Aviv and Haifa.
While Israel’s air defense systems have been successful, a number of ballistic missiles made direct hits in Tel Aviv over Shabbat as well as the Haifa area after Shabbat. More than 80 people were injured and three people killed when a ballistic missile made a direct in Tel Aviv. other direct hits included Ramat Gan and Rishon Lezion. In Tamra north of Haifa there were 14 Injuries including 2 fatalities.
Israel has been pounding Iran from the skies while Mossad squads on the ground have been targeting regime officials using drones and even attack helicopters they smuggles in. So far nearly all of Iran’s senior military leadership has been eliminated, including nine nuclear scientists.
IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin in a press conference says the focus of the Israeli Air Force’s strikes in Iran in the past day have been in Tehran. “At this hour, air force pilots are continuing to strike and carry out significant blows in various areas in Iran. A sequence of strikes that has not stopped for 40 hours, including over 150 targets,” he says. From Tehran, “the murderous terror regime is managed, which poses a threat to the entire western world,” he says. “Tehran is no longer immune.”
Following overnight strikes on Iranian air defenses, Defrin stated “hundreds of Israeli jets and aircraft are currently holding air superiority over western Iran and Tehran. The aircraft are completing a wave of strikes on strategic military industry targets, nuclear program targets, and senior officials in the Iranian terror leadership.”
So how long will the war continue for? Despite statements from global leaders, Israel will continue the war for as long as it needs to wipe out the Iranian threat once and for all. This war is like none other seen before and promises to get far more chaotic.
