This story that Leland Vittert spells out says so much about the nature of Israel’s enemy that it is contending with. When liberal values meet up with fundamentalist religious fervor, there is very little that the two sides have in common. That is why Israel will never be able to sit down and work out differences with terrorist organizations like Hamas. The only solution when confronting Islamo-Nazi hatred is to defeat the enemy completely. Anything else will just allow the cancer to spread.
