President Biden Cannot Stop Talking about Trump – but Why?

Joe Biden was never known for being tongue-tied. He was always a free-wheeling, open-mouthed Congressman, Senator, and Vice President. But lately, he seems fixated on one thing – saying Donald Trump’s name again and again – especially when politicking against Republicans. Well, it backfired in Virginia big-time. Here’s why.

The Democrat plan of focusing on Donald Trump in order to tie every single Republican candidate into the Trump presidency backfired in Virginia for several reasons. The reason is that most Republicans – are actually not strong adherents to Donald Trump, but they agree with some of Donald Trump’s policies. This is what many Democrats do not understand. Most of the policies of the Republican party under the Trump presidency are actually very popular among many people in the United States. – even many independents.

What was not popular was the bluster of Donald Trump. For every two or three Trump supporters who loved it, there was one independent who was repulsed by it. So, all any Republican candidate needs to do is to speak about policies – many of which are very much the same as Trump policies – and not speak with the bluster of Donald Trump. That is actually very easy, since nobody seems to speak like Donald Trump. Nikki Haley, Tom Cotton, Mike Pompeo, and even Ted Cruz do not speak like Donald Trump. That is why every one of them will have a better chance of reaching out to the independents who were distanced by the bluster of Donald Trump in 2020.

But before 2024, there is 2022, and every day, things look more and more like 2022 will be an historic election wherein the Republicans don’t just win, but take over the Congress in one of the most lopsided wins in modern history. Donald Trump will claim that it was all because of him, but it will be more about the United States rejecting the major shift to the radical left of the Democrat party.
