President Trump will go down in history as one of the most controversial yet successful Presidents in American history. He will be remembered as the leader who stemmed the tide to America’s moral decline. Not that President Trump is a paragon of moral virtue. He is not. But, his policies, and yes – that is the key to judging a Presidency – are normal, reasonable, and are placing America where it belongs – in a place of leadership of the entire world.
In 2028, the real test will happen. Will the United States of America go back to instituting policies that place madness like DEI policies at the forefront? Will America once again open it’s borders and choose to self-destruct like most European countries have been doing?
That is the key question. Will the JD Vances and Marco Rubios of the world, both of whom have Presidential aspirations become the leaders of the free world? Or will America choose to be lead by Gavin Newsom or an outsider who is propped up within the ranks of the Democrat Party?
The 2026 midterm elections will be one indicator – but not the sole indicator – as to which direction the United States is heading towards. Even though President Trump is now focused on finishing up the job in Iran and winning the midterm elections, between 2026 and 2028, he should be focused on building out a future leadership of the United States that will continue instituting as many of his policies as possible.
If President Trump focuses more on ballrooms and building up one of his children as the future leader, then President Trump will actually be opening up the door for a Democrat to appear as a voice of normalcy that could defeat what will be perceived as President Trump’s attempt to hold onto power past 2028.
He can make a deal that would place Don Jr. or whomever in his family he sees as a future leader in a significant post – after the election – but not as the candidate for President. Vance or Rubio are two different yet viable choices that would probably both defeat nearly any Democrat candidate. Even though they would certainly not govern the same way as President Trump, they would continue the vast majority of the policies that Donald Trump has instituted since his election.
