Hezbollah fired a barrage of rockets at the northwest of Israel today – aiming at Rosh Hanikra, Israel’s most northwestern village.

The barrage comes at a time of intensified attacks by Hezbollah on Israel, with Israel responding in kind. While the international community appears to be ignorant of just how likely a massive war between Israel and Hezbollah is, Israel’s leadership and populace are no longer naive.

In response to today’s attacks from Hezbollah the IDF carried out airstrikes on buildings used by Hezbollah in the southern Lebanon towns of Aitaroun and Ayta ash-Shab. The IDF also reported that last night it struck another Hezbollah building in Matmoura and an observation post in Jebbayn.

Despite Israel’s denial, rumors are flying that Israel has given Hezbollah a March 15th deadline for diplomatic solution to work. If it doesn’t, the IDF will launch a an intensive and expanded war against Hezbollah. Rumor or not, it is now a forgone conclusion that there will be a war to Israel’s North and according to all experts this war will make Gaza look mild.

With Rafah looming and Hezbollah revving up, the Jewish State appears poised to once again take on its enemies alone. The Jewish people are unified like never before and the soldiers are battle hardened and determined. The only question is whether the political leadership has the faith and drive to see all of this through.
