Israel Cancels Leave For IDF In Preparation For War With Iran

by Micha Gefen

Iran’s threat of attack has sent Israel into a mini panic. Soldiers around the country found out that they had their scheduled leave canceled and told to be on standby in expectation that Iran was preparing a serious retaliation for the killing of Mohammad Reza Zahedi and five other IRGC officials in Damascus earlier in the week.

“The IDF is at war and the issue of the deployment of forces is constantly reviewed as needed,” the military noted in its announcement.

Some of the possibilities that are being gamed out for Iranian retaliatory measures include missile and drone attacks by Iranian proxies in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, which have all been activated over the last six months already. Another possibility that is also seen as very possible is a ballistic missile attack directly from Iran.

As part of the preparedness, GPS interruptions were reported in the center of the country carried out by the IDF in case of an attack.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said earlier Wednesday that Israel was “increasing preparedness” in the face of threats from across the Middle East. Gallant said the defense establishment is “expanding our operations against Hezbollah, against other bodies that threaten us,” and reiterated that Israel “strikes our enemies all over the Middle East.”

RE: ISRAEL CANCELS LEAVE FOR IDF IN PREPARATION FOR WAR WITH IRAN – This was a prudent decision. Hopefully, Israel expanded its domestic munitions production because the IDF needs more artillery and bullets to sustain a multifront war.
