WhatsappIn a recent interview on 60 minutes, President Joe Biden threatened that the US will defend Taiwan if CCP China decides to invade.
The White House later walked back the President’s statements. However, the damage was already done. The US has consistently held to the One China policy, which essentially means that Taiwan has to make its own decision on independence. At the same time the US has been ambiguous about defending the island.
Joe Biden’s comments raises the tension between China and the USA to unprecedented levels at the same time that Russia is preparing a serious counter attack against Ukraine.
Given the stakes the world is in, anything can trigger a far wider war between the world powers. If Biden made the comments because his mental capacity is rapidly deteriorating, then it begs the question – why is he still the President?
