The Jewish people have been praying that the Jerusalem Temple be rebuilt. But what did it look like? What different parts did it have?
The Beauty of the Jerusalem Temple
The Temple in Jerusalem, or the Beit Hamikdash, was stunning. We cannot even fully understand and grasp the spiritual and physical beauty of it. We pray for it everyday. We think about it and sing about it. The Jewish people learn the laws about it. We study the sections that pertain to our holy Temple in the Bible, the Talmud, and all the Jewish works.
The enemies of the Jewish people claim that the area in which the Temple once stood doesn’t belong to us. But that is nonsense. The Bible, history, archaeology – it all proves a Jewish Temple stood on Mount Moriah. Islam did not even exist until hundreds of years AFTER the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed. And yet, there are those who deny such obvious history. How could the Jewish people have stolen land from a people that didn’t even exist yet?
Our enemies don’t want you to know how much the Temple matters to us and that G-d talks about it in the Bible He gave to us. They don’t want you to know that we have history, laws, religious texts, and songs about the holiness of Beit Hamikdash. And they definitely don’t want you to know that Jerusalem and the entire land of Israel belong to the Jewish people. Because if you know all of this, their entire narrative is proven wrong.
