The City of David Spreads Light
2020 was definitely a challenging year for the world. Things were bumpy. But the City of David, or Ir David, continued to do what it does best: Dig up the truth. No matter what happened this year, they continued to find the truth about the past. They continued uncovering history. And that is truly commendable! People need to know about Jerusalem’s past even if it means learning about it in a video instead of in person.
Despite the fact that people could not visit Jerusalem and the City of David like they usually do, Ir David found a way to bring Jerusalem to the world. They used technology to spread the light of their discoveries. They made use of what they had and what they were allowed to do.
It’s true – things may have been a little different. Or a lot different. But G-d had different plans for the world than what the world thought. And the City of David tried to work with those plans that G-d had for the world. Hopefully, 2021 will bring more people to Israel and to the archaeological findings that prove the truth about Jerusalem.
It can be hard to see things in a positive way when life feels so negative. It is not easy to remain resilient in the face of adversity. But Ir David truly did, and they should be applauded for that!
