October 7 is a date that is etched in the minds of Jews worldwide. Look at this journey in Southern Israel visiting sites of the massacre.
The October 7 Massacre
It’s a hard date to hear. It’s difficult, to say the least, to see images and videos of the brutal massacre that Hamas and Gazan civilian terrorists carried out on October 7. There is unbearable pain. There are still fresh wounds in our hearts.
But it is extremely important that everyone goes to visit Southern Israel. We must see with our own eyes. We must share it with the world. It’s real. It happened. We all wish it was just a bad dream, but instead, we face a horrifying reality; a reality that sits with Israelis every single day.
Each of the precious souls that was so brutally taken from us was an entire world. All of those murdered had friends and families who loved and cared for them. And those kidnapped are suffering greatly at the hands of Hamas. It’s sometimes too painful to think about. How many more tears can we cry?
We sometimes need to feel the pain though. We need to see with our own eyes the places where the horrors took place. We need to remember what happened. We need to remember the precious lives of those killed. And we need to pray that G-d brings comfort to all those who have suffered so greatly. The Jewish people need to keep praying for the safety of our soldiers and the destruction of Hamas. We need to pray that the final redemption comes now so that we never again have to experience such tragedy.
