Tragically, Kibbutz Be’eri became well-known after Oct. 7 2023. Daniel Weiss (Wais) talks about his pain and healing in this interview.
Kibbutz Be’eri, Oct. 7, and the Orphan Who Continues to Live
This interview is very powerful. Hearing Daniel Wais talk about his pain, suffering, and the will to continue on will leave you heartbroken and inspired. People worldwide heard of the places that were hit hard by the Oct. 7 massacre. Jews and non-Jews alike have heard of Kibbutz Be’eri despite possibly never having heard of it before that unthinkable day carried about by the most vicious terrorists the world has seen.
Israelis are still healing. It’s not over. Those who have suffered personal losses and trauma are still suffering. Everyone knows someone directly or knows someone whose loved one was murdered by the brutal terrorists.
But the Jewish people are a strong people. We are G-d’s people. Although we feel broken at times, we continue to shine and spread light. We continue to build despite the destruction and devastation that our enemies are trying to inflict upon us.
We will keep believing in G-d, keep praying, and keep holding on to the fact that we know that the ultimate redemption is just around the corner. Mashiach is coming. We just need to keep doing our part to bring him that much closer.
