You’re going to be in awe by what these IDF soldiers did to help a small plant nursery in Kibbutz Be’eri following the October 7 Hamas attack.

Small Plant Nursery in Kibbutz Be’eri

Kibbutz Be’eri was one of the hardest hit communities of Hamas’ October 7 gruesome attack which left 1400 murdered, thousands more injured, and hundreds taken into captivity. Parents have been left without children and children without parents. Innocent Jews were tortured in unimaginable ways. It’s too painful to even think about.

With all the darkness that occurred on that horrific day, the Jewish people have tried to bring more light into this world. Some actions might seem “small,” but really, nothing is too small. The owners of this plant nursery had to evacuate. And they expected to come back to a dead plant nursery. Instead, they showed on this video what they found: A living plant nursery. The IDF soldiers watered the plants for them. They tried to help in a seemingly “small” way, but it made all the difference. This show what the IDF and the Jewish people are all about. They care. They love life. They want to give. What a beautiful action that expressed love toward their fellow brothers and sisters who witnessed a massacre take place in their own community and the communities that surround them.

The soldiers left a note that said, “Sorry we broke into the nursery, we had to water the plants. With love, the soldiers.”

How can you not be in awe? When Jewish people do acts of kindness for each other, it brings so much light to the world. G-d wants us to act kindly toward each other. What a beautiful thing to hold on to in these times of darkness. Every act of kindness makes a difference.
