With RBG dying as the election comes closer, the Supreme Court would essentially be locked at 4-4 going into a number of contested States election night. With Democrats threatening to advance mail in voting despite known efficacy issues, the country would need the Supreme Court to decide the boundaries and rules governing vote counting.
Regardless of which way people lean politically, the necessity of a court that makes clear decisions is now meaningful more than ever. Without it, the USA would be no longer on the precipice of an active Civil War, but over the cliff.
True, the Left may disregard the Supreme Court and push the country over the edge anyway, but President Trump is trying is best to prevent that.
