WhatsappNathan Fitoussi a 20 year old soldier from Netanya was killed by accident by a fellow soldier near Tulkarm yesterday.
The first reports conveyed by Israel’s public broadcast KAN said an initial army investigation on Monday explained that the soldier had left his guard post near Tulkarm for a short time and when he returned he was fired upon.
Fitoussi had told his fellow soldiers that he was going to pray and upon his return he was fired upon.
The investigation is still ongoing. The soldier that shot Fitoussi is said to be fully cooperating with the IDF. Reasons for Foutissi’s misidentification remains unclear.
