The Rabbi created a smart panic button to save lives. Seconds can save lives and that is the idea of this button. It is to help people in terrible situations.

This is a panic button that will be on the wall in the classrooms or the inside of buildings, such as stores or synagogues. It can be an app of your smart phone because everyone these days is attached to their phones.

The biggest question is why is there a need for this? This is to try and stop bad events from happening such as the Pittsburgh shooting, which happened in October 2018. Where a man opened fire in a Synagogue on a Sabbath morning when morning services were taking place. This is not the only even there have been many more, also school shootings which have happened one too many times in the United States.

Unfortunately, the world our children are growing up is not one we wish for. We want our children to be safe. One the one side we do not want them to live in a world of fear but we should take precautions. Seconds can save lives if a policeman or a paramedic can get there even a minute sooner it could be a matter of life and death. When you call 911 in America or 999 in the UK the response time for an Ambulance can be around 8 minutes! 8 MINUTES!!! If someone can get there sooner even just a few minutes that can be life-changing.

The button when pressed would instantly alert first responders, police, building occupants and staff. This would give people a chance either to help those in need or to save lives by keeping others away from a situation. Since the emergency button would alert the police they would not be going in bling to any situation. The police would know what they are heading into and what equipment they might need, e.g. bullet proof vests etc.

This button is being is being tested and is set up in a place in Detroit and hope they can have this panic button set up in other places with in the next few months.
