This US election is about choosing between bad and bad, the question is who is worse.
Regarding me, my perspective has always been that the best candidate for Israel is the one who is best for America because a strong America is in the best interest of Israel. A weak America is bad for Israel and the world. I was always against Obama because I knew 7 years ago that he would be a disaster for America, and hence for Israel and the world.
I firmly believe that Obama has been destroying America, day by day, during his past 7 years, both on the domestic front and on the foreign policy front. Black Lives Matter is today killing US policemen because Obama and his DOJ have consistently given credence to the violent protestors, without the necessary backing to the police, consistently.
So, now you have an America not only in danger from growing Muslim terror, but also from domestic BLM terror, both partly his responsibility. So then we have Hillary, who is a liar (email scandal questioning under oath), a threat to US security (email scandal), a recipient of billions of dollars from Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries/leaders, a clear failing foreign policy record with regards to the Middle East, Libya, the Benghazi travesty, lying to the parents of the US servicemen killed at Benghazi, and on top of all this, her right-hand person is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, the global Sunni Muslim organization out to take away freedom from everybody else.
The only thing she has going for her is that she knows how to talk Presidential.
Then you have Trump, who does not know how to talk Presidential and is a shrewd (some might say nasty) businessman.
Do I believe he hates Jews? No. Do I believe he hates Mexicans, Chinese, Blacks? No. He just does not have a filter on his mouth. Does he want what’s best for America? Yes. Does Hillary want what’s best for America? Not at all, hence the list of gripes against her above. Am I afraid that Trump might continue to strengthen the Presidency, while weakening the Constitution, with more and more Executive Orders, like what Bush and Obama started? Yes. But then under Hillary, the DOJ and IRS will continue to be political tools of the progressive leadership, continuing what Obama started, which is horrible for America.
Will Trump be a good President? I hope so, but I have no clue and I’m afraid he might not be. BUT in my eyes, it is clear that Hillary will be a disaster for America, continuing the disastrous direction that Obama started.
Trump possibly will be a disaster, but he might be a surprise.
And all this is thinking who is best for America. Whoever is better for America will be better for Israel and the world. Israel will survive either one, like we survived Obama, the worst President ever, for both the USA and Israel.
So I’m not worried about Israel. I’m worried about America!
To me it’s בריא vs. שמא. Hillary is a definite disaster, Trump is a questionable disaster. Hence, I believe the questionable disaster is better for America than the definite one.
