Despite the fact that it’s in America’s best interest as well, Secretary of State Antony Blinken won’t back Israeli sovereignty in the Golan.

Israeli Sovereignty in Golan Heights

Israel and the Jews are definitely thankful that Biden’s admin is keeping the US Embassy in Jerusalem, as they should be, but that does not give them a free pass to throw Israel under the bus in other cases. Israeli sovereignty in the Golan Heights is crucial to Israel’s safety. But it is also in America’s best interest – at least it should be.

Iran has a presence in Syria. If Biden really cares to limit Iran’s abilities to destroy the Middle East, he should support Israeli sovereignty in the Golan Heights. It is that simple. Assad is a monster in Syria as well. How can the US not support Israel constraining him?

And on top of that, it is a major security issue for Israel to leave the Golan Heights. Israel cannot afford to do that. Israel cannot trust Syria and make a “peace” agreement. That’s just not the way it works in that area of the Middle East.

Former President Trump understood all of this. But will the new administration of Biden’s team wake up to the truth? We can only hope and pray.
