On July 8, 2022 ZOA reported “Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) National President Morton A. Klein released the following statement:

It is deeply concerning and perplexing that Israeli President Isaac Herzog tweeted on July 7 that Herzog will award President Joe Biden the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honor “to thank [Biden] for being a true friend of Israel” and for “decades-long support for Israel’s security, deepening our alliance & fighting antisemitism” and anti-Israel bias. This award makes little sense…A “true friend of Israel” and fighter against antisemitism, would not pursue numerous policies undermining Israel’s sovereignty and security that President Biden and his administration are pursuing and would not just ignore, but actually praise antisemites in Congress, and issue a new erroneous anti-Israel report that an Israeli bullet killed an Arab journalist.   Nor would “a true friend of Israel” take advantage of Israel’s caretaker government to make visits to symbolic Palestinian Authority institutions in eastern Jerusalem. Former Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon noted that these Biden visits are unprecedented and were “created to pave the way for the U.S. administration to challenge Israel’s sovereignty over Jerusalem.”

Lapid WANTS Biden to divide Jerusalem, if he didn’t want he would defend Jerusalem by blocking access roads (and even helicopter access) to parts of Eastern Jerusalem Biden wants to visit without Israeli officials.

Lapid is not only failing to defend Jerusalem by blocking the roads, he is also forbidding Israelis to protest along Biden’s route. On July 12 World Israel News reported “The Israel Police has denied a request to hold a protest in eastern Jerusalem over President Joe Biden’s controversial visit there later this week, sparking outrage from a coalition of right wing groups that said the rejection represents a “complete breakdown” of Israeli governance.

Biden is due to visit the Augusta Victoria Hospital on Friday, marking the first time a sitting U.S. president makes a formal visit eastern Jerusalem without Israeli escort. The U.S. reportedly denied Israel’s request to send Israeli officials to accompany the American president.

A coalition of organizations, including the Regavim movement and the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), submitted a petition to demonstrate along Biden’s planned route on Friday. The petition called “to clearly demonstrate the Zionist view on Israeli sovereignty over its unified capital, and to sound the alarm against the government’s failure to express the basic Zionist principle of Jerusalem as the undivided, eternal capital of the sovereign State of Israel.”

In response, Israel Police said that all roads would be closed during the presidential visit…”

Lapid is not only allowing Biden to divide Jerusalem but even giving him a Medal for doing so. Giving Biden a medal would weaken the criticism of those who defend Israel in Congress, when someone in Congress criticizes Biden for dividing Jerusalem he would show them the Medal Israel gave him.

Biden does not deserve a medal, hr is not a friend of Israel. On July 14 , 2015, Daniel Greenfield wrote in Frontpage Magazine that Obama signed the nuclear deal with Iran to cripple American power in the Middle East:  …Obama did not go into this to stop Iran from going nuclear. He did it to turn Iran into the axis of the Middle East…supporting Iran is his way of blocking the power of his successors in the White House to pursue a more pro-American foreign policy…

“…Obama claims to “have stopped the spread of nuclear weapons” by allowing Iran to keep enhancing its nuclear program and rewarding it with ballistic missiles for its “peaceful” intentions. He claims to have negotiated “from a position of strength and principle” when in fact he surrendered to the Iranians on position after position. Tehran negotiated from strength and principle. Obama sold out America…  …Obama and Kerry have not made this deal as representatives of the United States, but as representatives of a toxic ideology that views America as the cause of all that is wrong in the world. This is not an agreement that strengthens us and keeps us safe, but an agreement that weakens us and endangers us negotiated by men who believe that a strong Iran is better than a strong America…

” …Their ideology is that of the screaming anti-war protester denouncing American forces and foreign policy anywhere and everywhere, whose worldview has changed little since crying, “Ho! Ho! Ho Chi Minh. NLF is going to win” in the streets. The only difference is that he now wears an expensive suit…”

Obama was interviewed at this very same time and was bold enough to say that, “Iran Will Be And Should Be A Regional Power.”

Since the Biden/Obama Administration took over, Obama’s insane policies from the past were revived at a record pace.  One of these policies was to make Iran a regional power in the Middle East, something Trump and the sane world went against.

There is more evidence Biden is not a friend of Israel.

In 2016 Biden reportedly pressured Ukraine to vote in favor  of UNSC 2334 which ruled that even Jerusalem’s Jewish Quarter and the Western Wall are in “Occupied Palestinian Territories”. On December 27, 2016 John Walsh reported on IBTimes “Vice President Joe Biden is being accused of convincing Ukraine to vote in favor of the United Nations Resolution 2334 Friday that condemned Israel for building housing settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.”

“Israel’s Environmental Protection Minister Ze’ev Elkin told the Jerusalem Post Monday that Biden persuaded Ukrainian diplomats to vote yes on the measure, who would have reportedly abstained if he hadn’t.

“A member of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s office told that paper that Biden had indeed called, but was unable to confirm whether or not their discussion involved the Friday U.N. vote…

“Despite heavy pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the U.S. to veto the measure, it abstained from voting, resulting in the U.N. Security Council approving the resolution with 14 votes to 0…

“Netanyahu summoned Israel’s leading ambassador to the U.S. Daniel Shapiro Sunday while issuing harsh words for the Obama administration following the vote, CNN reported Monday.

“‘We have no doubt that the Obama administration initiated it, stood behind it, coordinated on the wording and demanded that it be passed,’ Netanyahu said Sunday.”

United with Israel reported “The Simon Wiesenthal Center, which dedicates itself to combating post-Holocaust anti-Semitism, has presented its list of the top 10 worst anti-Semitic and anti-Israel incidents that occurred over the course of 2016.  “…The most stunning 2016 United Nations (UN) attack on Israel was facilitated by US President Obama when the US abstained on a UN Security Council resolution condemning Israel for construction in Judea and Samaria. It reversed decades-long US policy of vetoing such diplomatic moves against the Jewish State.

“In 2011, a similar resolution was vetoed by US Ambassador Susan Rice ‘This draft resolution risks hardening the positions of both sides. It could encourage the parties to stay out of negotiations”, she had said. That same year, President Obama told the UN General Assembly that peace would “not [come] through statements and resolutions at the UN’

“The resolution, in effect, identifies Jerusalem’s holiest sites, including the Temple Mount and the Western Wall, as “occupied Palestinian territory.” It also urges UN members ‘to distinguish, in their relevant dealings, between the territory of the State of Israel and the territories occupied since 1967,’ effectively endorsing BDS.

“US Congressman Alcee L. Hastings (D-FL) echoed the sentiments of many Democrats and Republicans, labeling the resolution “destructive and irresponsible” and as seeking “to isolate and delegitimize Israel…US actions were completely unacceptable and reckless”

“Throughout 2016, a year rife with global Islamist terrorism and horrific human rights violations, the UN General Assembly passed 20 resolutions against Israel and four against all other countries combined. At UNESCO, an Arab–backed resolution erased any historic link between the Jewish people and Judaism’s holiest sites, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. It also rebranded Rachel’s Tomb and the Tomb of the Patriarchs as exclusively Muslim sites. The resolution also “deeply regrets” Israel’s refusal to remove these sites from its national heritage list…”

UNSC 2334 called Jerusalem’s Jewish Quarter, the Temple Mount, the Western Wall and the settlements “occupied Palestinian territories” but the Congress rejected this. H.Res.11 rejected UNSC 2334. 0n July 1st 2017 the Congress approved H.Res.11 – Objecting to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 as an obstacle to Israeli-Palestinian peace, and for other purposes. H.Res.11 “Calls for such resolution to be repealed or fundamentally altered.”

And on January 13, 2017  JEAN-PATRICK GRUMBERG wrote in dreuz.info “In a historic trial carefully forgotten by the media, the 3rd Chamber of the Court of Appeal of Versailles declared that Israel is the legal occupant of the ‘West Bank’.  “It is the first time since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 that an independent, non-Israeli court has been called upon to examine the legal status of West bank territories under international law, beyond the political claims of the parties.  “Keep in mind though, that the Court’s findings have no effect in international law. What they do, and it’s of the utmost importance, is to clarify the legal reality.  “The Versailles Court of Appeal conclusions are as resounding as the silence in which they were received in the media: Israel has real rights in the territories, its decision to build a light rail in the ‘West Bank’ or anything else in the area is legal, and the judges have rejected all the arguments presented by the Palestinians.”

Biden’s visit is not friendly, he is not coming to “mediate negotiations”, he is coming to divide Jerusalem and give control of the border with Jordan to the Palestinians. The Jewish Voice reported “This coming week, President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit Israel as part of a larger tour of the Middle East.  The presidential visit, planned several months ago, is scheduled to proceed despite the dissolution of the Israeli government and the onset of elections – a conspicuous departure from US policy reiterated by President Obama under similar circumstances in 2015: “I’m declining to meet with [Prime Minister Netanyahu] simply because our general policy is we don’t meet with any world leader … weeks before their elections,” Obama explained.

“According to media reports, Interim Prime Minister Yair Lapid intends to welcome President Biden with a number of “gestures” that the US administration has requested as a means of “improving the atmosphere” between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

“The Biden Administration has announced its intention to re-open the consular building in eastern Jerusalem that was shut down during the Trump Administration, when the US Embassy was relocated to Israel’s capital.   The new-old diplomatic installation is slated to serve Arabs only – and would, in everything but name – be an embassy to Palestine: The US recently upgraded the status of the Office for Palestinian Affairs, restructuring the chain of command and removing it from the auspices of the US Embassy in Israel.  This unit, unlike any other in the world, now operates in the center of western Jerusalem; moving it to a dedicated eastern Jerusalem facility would essentially re-divide Jerusalem – constituting a violation of US law, Israeli law and international diplomatic protocol.

“In addition, President Biden has scheduled a first-of-its-kind visit to eastern Jerusalem, an official visit that has not been coordinated through normal diplomatic channels and will which not be accompanied or attended by representatives of the State of Israel. A visit of this kind constitutes a violation of US law, which recognizes Jerusalem – in its entirety – as the united capital of Israel, and the government of Israel as the sole recognized sovereign in the city.

“The third “gesture” sought by the Biden Administration would see Palestinian Authority Police at Israel’s eastern border: The Biden Administration has asked Israel to allow an official PA presence at the Allenby Crossing, the international border between Israel and Jordan and the gateway to Israel’s Jordan Valley. Reports are that Interim Prime Minister Lapid intends to acquiesce – despite the danger to Israel’s security and the shadow this would cast on Israeli sovereignty.”

If Lapid wanted to, he could defend Jerusalem by blocking access roads (and even helicopter access) to parts of Eastern Jerusalem Biden wants to visit without Israeli officicials, so why doesn’t he?

When Israel signed the Oslo Accords it was agreed Israel would control the borders, now Biden wants the Palestinian Authorithy to have a “presence” at the border with Jordan, since Hamas is the most likely successor to Abbas  (who is 87) this would mean handing the Allenby Crossing to Hamas.

Under the Oslo Accords the Palestinian State was supposed to be demilitarized, if Hamas controls the border with Jordan who will prevent weapon smuggling? Hamas? Or perhaps Biden will give guarantees? Like he did to the government of Afghanistan before he surrendred to the Taliban? Or perhaps like he gave to Israel when he promised Israel that Iran would never obtain nuclear weapons? Or when Clinton backed the Oslo Accords ruling that the conflict would be solved through direct negotiations and not through UNSC resolutions as Obama did when he VIOLATED the Oslo Accords with UNSC 2334 ruling that even Jerusalem’s Western Wall is in “occupied Palestinian Territories”.

Biden is “committed to opening a Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem” dividing the city. On May 31, 2022 Arutz 7 reported “Following reports that American plans to open a consulate to the Palestinian Authority in Jerusalem had been shelved, for which former Bennett aide Shimrit Meir took the credit, senior American officials in the U.S. State Department have clarified that they remain “committed to opening a Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem.”  “We continue to believe it can be an important way for our country to engage with and provide support to the Palestinian people,” State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a briefing to reporters Tuesday.”

Biden has been pushing to divide Jerusalem by opening a Palestinian Consulate in Jerusalem since Bennett became PM. Caroline Glick wrote “The day after Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett formed their government, Biden administration officials threw a diplomatic hand grenade at them. Monday administration officials told reporters “unofficially” that President Joe Biden intends to appoint Hady Amr, his Assistant Secretary of State for Israel and the Palestinians to serve as U.S. Consul General to the Palestinians — in Jerusalem.
