Hamas rockets have been constant. Children are scared. Adults are scared. This is not how life should be. No one should have to listen to a Red Alert siren telling them to run to a bomb shelter as fast as possible. No one should have just 15 seconds to run before their life will potentially be ended. A child should not have to know the sound of a rocket crashing into a home.
But that has been the last 24 hours for Israelis. Screams. Cries. Fears. This video is heartbreaking. Children are scared for their lives. Parents are trying to protect their children – physically and emotionally. No one should have to go through this. Especially as often as Israelis have.
The World’s Response
Silence.
And more silence. And some criticism – towards Israel. That just seems too absurd to be true. But look at the news headlines. They all paint Israel as the main aggressor. They say “look at how many have been killed in Gaza.” And they compare it to the few who have been killed in Israel because of the Hamas rockets. But those killed in Gaza are either terrorists or they have been killed because Hamas uses human shields. They fire rockets from schools. They fire rockets in civilian populated areas. Hamas places its own people in the line of fire. Israel, on the other hand, does everything it can to protect its people. They spend more money than you can imagine on their Iron Dome system to try to shoot down rockets headed toward innocent Israelis. But the news headlines won’t tell you that Israel values life and Hamas values death. The news headlines won’t tell you the truth. Because they don’t care.
