How Israeli innovation is blessing the world

What is the secret of Israeli innovation?  The secret of Israeli ingenuity.  Avi Jorisch believes that a large part of it has to do with religious inspiration that this young 70 year old country is inspired with.

The Early Days of Israel

Ben-Gurion stated that we have the historic privilege and obligation to tackle some of the greatest challenges of the 20th century.  This goes back to the very first days of the Israeli country.

Avi argues that Israeli innovation is “baked into their DNA.”  Indifference is simply not an option in this country that is filled with the Chosen People.  Perhaps this is what drives so many start-ups in Israel.

Jorisch surprises with a fascinating stat.  He claims that Israel has more start-ups than Canada, England, India, Japan, and Korea combined.  Israel became a technological powerhouse through excellent universities, chutzpah, weak natural resources, and a strong prophetic tradition.

Water Superpower

Jorisch claims that due to Israeli innovation in drip irrigation, recycling, and desalination, Israel has even become water independent.

Drip irrigation goes back to the 50’s and 60’s.  It is perhaps the most fascinating of all of them as it has impacted more than 1 billion people around the world.  It uses around 1/3 of the amount of water that is typically used, yet doubles the yield.

Israeli companies have also built desalination plants in California, India, and China.  So, when people term Israel the Start-Up Nation that serves as a light unto the world, they are 100% correct.

Israel truly serves as a blessing for all humanity.  We pray and hope that Israeli innovation in the fields of science and medicine will lead the way to a cure of dementia and cancer in the coming years.
