Israel Attacks Damascus, As Russia Keeps Its Army On Watch

Israel strikes Damascus again. This time reports say that four Syrian soldiers were killed in the strike. This is allegedly the third attack in one month.

Syria claims its air defense systems succeeded in shooting down some of the missiles.

The attack came at a tense time between Israel and Russia as Israel has increased its support for Ukraine. With a large chunk of the Russian army sitting in Syria, just to Israel’s north, any strike on Syria must now be weighed carefully as to not spark a direct conflict with Russia.

In the last month Russia has made antagonistic comments against Israel. From siding with the “palestinians” to demanding an Old City Church be placed under its jurisdiction, Russia is pushing heavily against Israel.
