WhatsappOne day after Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Security Cabinet decided that the IDF would be unleashed on Lebanon in a matter of weeks to months, the Iranian backed Houthis shot a surface to surface ballistic missile at Tel Aviv, hitting an open area near Ben Gurion Airport.
Despite the claim by the Houthis that the missile successfully hit a military target, the IDF presented proof that the missile was destroyed in the air by several interceptor missiles. Fragments fell, causing some injuries and property damage in the center of the country. While the attack could have caused far worse damage, the psychological effect of sending millions of Israelis running into shelters in the morning hours should not be lost on anyone.
Prime Minister Netanyahu responded to the surprise attack:
“We are in a multi-front campaign against Iran’s axis of evil, which is striving for our destruction. This morning, the Houthis launched a surface-to-surface missile from Yemen at our territory. They should know that we exact a high price for any attempt to attack us. Whoever needs a reminder of this, is invited to visit the port of Hodeidah.”
With Gaza increasing falling under the grip of the IDF, and Sinwar’s hopes of an imposed freeze in the war falling short, the IDF is about to be unleashed on the Iranian threat to its North in the form of Hezbollah. The showdown is only a matter of time. Hezbollah has been sending rockets at Israel since October 8th, but because Israel has been reluctant to fight a two front ground war, it has held back from dealing a real blow to Hezbollah. That is coming and that is the reason the Houthis launched the newest ballistic missile in their arsenal. This is meant to be a distraction for Israel, but has only served to remind everyone, who the real enemy is.
As much as the left once everyone to think its Netanyahu that is the enemy - he is not, rather it is the Ayatollahs who are busy orchestrating their various proxies in hopes the Jewish State tires and gives up. They are obviously wrong. All of the attacks and all of the pressure is pushing all of us together. The war is taking a long time, but this war is like no other Israel has fought. Iran is determined and like Nazi Germany has a complacent Western World far more ready to let Israel get destroyed than risk its own neck to save it.
