Is The World Turning Against China?

by Micha Gefen

Communist China built its power and strength on the back of cheap labor that it offered to global corporations that essentially undercut local businesses in countries around the world.

With tensions rising between the West and Communist China as well as the revelation of severe human rights abuses carried out against China’s minorities, more and more Fortune 500 companies are pulling out of the communist country. Although, the initial effects of companies like Samsung removing their companies from China cannot be known, the continued movement out of China of Fortune 500 companies is setting the stage of an exacerbation of tensions between China and the West.

While it is clear that Beijing has a palpable agent in the White House, Biden’s team has little ability to stop the flow corporate capital out of China. At the end, even this White House will have to acquiesce and go along with the anti-China sentiment building across the globe.

After all, countries like India and Japan, are beginning to put their foot down on China’s expansionist policies. With real war likely becoming global, Fortune 500 companies are hedging their bets and getting out while they still can.
