WhatsappNews outlets were ablaze this morning with a report by Sky News that a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah was to go in effect within two hours. In addition, Presidents Biden and Macron led calls for 21 day ceasefire.
The problem with the reports is that just like the Gaza “truce” deals, after a 19 hour lull by Hezbollah, they unleashed 40 rockets on Akko in Israel’s North. Today’s ceasefire rumors are more than just rumors – they are part of a concerted effort by the US and French governments to undermine Israel’s ability to defeat its enemies. After all, Biden and Macron released the statement when Prime Minister Netanyahu was in flight to New York and had no ability to respond.
This tactic of course sowed internal discord inside the government, which was the point. However, no one fell for it and when the Prime Minister landed he rebuffed the reports that a ceasefire was imminent. Israel has been clear that negotiations for a ceasefire depend on Hezbollah retreating to north of the Litani River, something the terror group refuses to do.
It is clear that the world does not like when Jews defend themselves. They cannot stop Israel from invading Lebanon and clearing the terrorist thugs from Southern Lebanon. This action alone frees the Jewish State from the shackles that have bound it to a dying West. This is ultimately why the USA and Western Europe are afraid. They told us not to go into Rafah and we did - capturing the Philadelphi Corridor. Now they are telling us to not go into Lebanon and we will.
The world will not put up with a free Israel that is not on America’s leash anymore. As Uzi Dayan the former Deputy Chief of Staff said today on Channel 14: “We need to rely only on ourselves.”
