WhatsappThe Israel Defense Forces has issued an urgent evacuation warning to residents of the southern Lebanese village of Mansouri, signaling that additional military operations against Hezbollah are imminent.
According to the IDF, Hezbollah’s continued violations of the ceasefire agreement have left Israel with no choice but to take decisive military action to neutralize ongoing threats along the northern border.
In a statement delivered in Arabic, IDF spokesperson Lt. Col. Ella Waweya instructed all civilians in Mansouri to immediately move at least one kilometer north of the village to ensure their safety before planned strikes begin.
“The Hezbollah terror organization has violated the ceasefire agreement,” she said. “The IDF is compelled to operate against it with force.”
The warning reflects Israel’s continued effort to distinguish between Hezbollah terrorists and the civilian population by providing advance notice before conducting precision operations. The IDF has repeatedly stated that Hezbollah embeds its military infrastructure inside civilian communities throughout southern Lebanon, using homes, storage facilities, and other civilian locations to conceal weapons and launch attacks against Israel.
Lt. Col. Waweya also warned residents that remaining near Hezbollah positions could prove deadly.
“Anyone located near Hezbollah operatives, facilities, or weapons is putting their life at risk,” she emphasized.
The evacuation notice comes amid ongoing Israeli operations designed to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its military capabilities near the border following months of fighting. Israeli officials have consistently maintained that Hezbollah’s continued presence and military activity south of the Litani River violate existing international agreements and pose an unacceptable threat to communities in northern Israel.
As tensions remain high, the latest warning underscores Israel’s determination to enforce its security requirements while minimizing civilian casualties whenever possible. Whether Hezbollah complies or continues using civilian areas as shields may determine the scope of the IDF’s next phase of operations in southern Lebanon.
