A popular Muslim preacher recently declared that Jews will never be safe living next to Muslims, even as slaves. This extreme rhetoric exposes the deep-rooted hostility that Israel faces from those who refuse to recognize its right to exist. Such views make it clear that peace cannot be achieved while Israel’s very legitimacy is under constant attack.
The idea of a two-state solution is unrealistic as long as Israel is confronted by those who deny its existence. A separate Palestinian state would not lead to peace but would instead fuel further violence and instability. Israel cannot risk compromising its security by dividing its land with entities that openly call for its destruction.
Israel’s commitment to security and survival comes first. A two-state solution is not viable as long as there are forces in the region that refuse to recognize Israel’s right to exist and continue to promote hatred and violence. Israel’s borders must be secured, and its people protected from those who seek to harm them.
