What does Judaism Say About Transgenderism?

This is such an important topic today. Western society has changed drastically over the past decade. Not long ago it was understood that gender dysphoria, aka gender identity disorder, was a condition of a few that needed mental health assistance. Today, the condition is now known as “transgenderism” which has been normalized, with children even being educated in some schools, and by their parents, to choose as an option instead of their birth sex.

I had the privilege to speak with Rabbi Professor Jeffrey Woolf of Bar-Ilan University and discuss what Judaism has to say about transgenderism and the latest case of a 7-year-old boy in Texas who’s mother was pushing him to be a transgender. Rabbi Woolf’s insight is very important and enlightening.
