WhatsappThe IDF entered and eliminated known terrorist Ibrahim al-Nablusi, affiliated with the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade during a firefight in Shchem.
Ibrahim al-Nablusi was wanted by the IDF after firing on the tomb of Joseph last month, injuring the Samaria Brigade Commander. He was seen in videos on Tik Tok glorifying terrorism and taking part in live fire attacks on civilians and IDF patrols.
The IDF’s operation in Shchem is the latest in a string of counter terrorism measures in Judea and Samaria. Over the month, the IDF has been operating extensively in Jenin – targeting Islamic Jihad forces there as well as other terrorist cells.
Last week, the IDF arrested senior Islamic Jihad terrorist Basa’am Asadi in Jenin. The arrest led to the last round of fighting in Gaza. The IDF’s current policy of proactive measures against embedded terror structures in Judea and Samaria is a response to the string of terror attacks on Israeli civilian centers just before Ramadan.
