It absolutely saddens me to hear fellow Jews screaming out against Trump’s plan for Gazans to emigrate to other countries in the name of “morality” and Judaism. We have paid a huge price in this war. Huge. And we want a bright and secure future, without fear of having another round of this evil, a future based on truth and morality.
Let’s break down this issue down for a moment, and I will call it: “The Morality of Encouraging Gazans to Emigrate”
There’s been a lot of noise about how it’s supposedly “immoral” to encourage Gazans to emigrate to other countries. But let’s break this down honestly and with moral clarity.
The first and most basic truth: All of the Gaza population was either involved or celebrated the horrific invasion, massacre, mass-raping and kidnapping on Oct. 7th, 2023. And those who didn’t actively participate in it, actively celebrated in the streets as they dragged our hostages, dead and alive, through Gaza. There are no innocent civilians in Gaza. It is an enemy population that has proven has no right to live near Israelis.
Due to the Oct. 7th war that they launched on Israel, there homes and communities are now destroyed. They have no homes left. If they cared about their homes, they should not have celebrated massacring us on Oct. 7th.
The next truth is: Nobody is forcing them to leave
Encouraging emigration is not “ethnic cleansing.” It’s not forced expulsion. It’s giving people a choice—a choice they never had under Hamas rule. For decades, the people of Gaza have been held hostage by their own terrorist leadership, trapped in a cycle of war, misery, being used as “human shields” by Hamas in a deadly war, and death. And when given the chance, many want out.
A recent poll from a Ramallah-based Palestinian research center found that over 50% of Gazans want to leave. That means a majority of the people living in Gaza are not only open to emigration—they are actively looking for a way out! But they can’t leave, because Egypt illegally keeps the Egypt/Gaza border closed, even though according to international asylum law they must allow Gazans to leave.
They don’t want to be used as human shields by Hamas anymore, especially with their homes and communities destroyed.
So let’s ask: What is truly immoral?
Is it immoral to help them leave behind war, terror, destruction and start new lives in other countries?
Or is it immoral to force them to stay in a warzone, under a genocidal terror regime, just so they can continue being used as political pawns against Israel?
The Biden administration, the United Nations, and all the so-called “humanitarians” have been demanding since the beginning of the war that Gazans must stay in Gaza. Why? Why is this war-torn strip of land the only place in the world where people in crisis are not allowed to seek a better future elsewhere? The world celebrated taking in refugees from Syria, from Ukraine, from Afghanistan. Why are Gazans forced not to be given the choice to emigrate. Why are they any different?
The answer is simple: Because their suffering is politically useful to Israel’s enemies. Keeping them in Gaza ensures a permanent state of conflict with Israel. The world wants them there as an open wound to always threaten Israel. It’s not about helping them—it’s about keeping the war against Israel alive.
And let’s be clear: This is not Israel’s responsibility. There are 22 Arab-Muslim nations in the Middle East. There are 57 Muslim-majority nations in the world. Are we really supposed to believe that not a single one of them have room in the vast Middle East and Northern Africa to take in fellow Arab Muslims from Gaza?
Qatar, which bankrolls Hamas, won’t take a single Gazan refugee. Jordan and Egypt, which supposedly care about the Palestinian cause, refuse to open their borders.
So let’s cut through the lies and propaganda:
– Giving Gazans the option to emigrate is the most humane, most moral, and most practical solution.
– Forcing them to stay in Gaza—where Hamas and other terror groups will only continue using them as human shields and brainwashing them to kill Jews—is the real crime.
– The silence about Egypt keeping its border closed, threatening to shoot Gazans who cross the border is truly immoral and illegal against international law, yet the “humanitarian” world is silent. Big surprise!
– Israel’s responsibility is to protect its own citizens—not to sacrifice our future for the sake of a population whose mothers gladly educate their children to grow up and be murderers, to kill Jews and destroy Israel.
The moral thing to do is to give Gazans the opportunity for a better life elsewhere. That is what President Trump understands. That is what Israel must demand. And that is what any sane, moral person should support.
The real kicker is that many of the people today vocal about the immorality of Gazans migrating from Gaza were the biggest supporters of Israel expelling close to 10,000 Jews from their homes in Gaza back in 2005. And they are vocal supporters of the concept of Israel, again, expelling hundreds of thousands of Jews from their homes in Judea and Samaria. Somehow, these “humanitarian” people believe it is moral to create judenrein, apartheid states to allow for 100% Arab entities, but they only complain when Arabs have to move as a result of their genocidal culture that endangers the Jewish state of Israel.
It is time that people call out the hypocrisy of all these “humanitarian” voices.
On top of that, it is time to internalize that the Jewish state of Israel will remain in historically Jewish Gaza forever. Just as the Chief Rabbi of Gaza City back in the 16th century wrote and sang the famous Shabbat song Ka Ribon hundreds of years ago before Arab Muslims migrated to Gaza from other areas of the Middle East, so too will we sing that song once again soon on the sands of Gaza.
And the world will be a better place because of it.
