WhatsappWhat bothers Hamas more than anything is happy and strong Jews who solidify their hold on the Land of Israel. What makes Hamas and other Jew-haters happy is to see the Jewish people mourning and fighting between one another. It is truly that simple.
The Jewish people know how to be disunited. It is a trait that we should not be so proud about, but it is indeed a deeply ingrained aspect of the Jewish people. However, the Land of Israel is actually the instrument that unites the Jewish people more than anything else. The process of the ingathering of the exiles over the last 200+ years has brought Jews from all four corners of the globe back to the Land of Israel.
Jews have returned from literally every country on earth that they lived in, and they have lived nearly everywhere, over the last few hundred years. What started out nearly 2000 years ago with the exile of Jews to North Africa, Southern Europe and Southwest Asia gradually led to Jews populating every country in Europe and spreading all the way to Russia, China and other parts of Africa. In the 15th ad 16th century, the Americas were discovered. Jews began to move there too. But only towards the end of the 19th century, with the massive population move from the Pale of Settlement to the West, America started to become a center of Jewish population.
Before World War II, approximately 10 million Jews lived in Europe and Russia. Another 2-3 million Jews lived in Arab lands. Less than 1/2 million Jews lived in the Land of Israel. But 2-3 million Jews had already moved to North America and the Jewish population there was becoming more entrenched and influential, especially in Hollywood and other emerging industries.
Today, more than 80 years later, there has been a tectonic shift in the Jewish population. Less than 100,000 Jews live in all of the Arab lands. They have nearly all moved to the Land of Israel. 6 million Jews were killed in Europe. Hundreds of thousands of Jews who were not killed in Europe moved to the Land of Israel while a few million more moved to America from various European countries and Russia. Today, there are approximately 6 million Jews in North America and 7 million+ Jews in the Land of Israel. No other country has a massive Jewish population. The ingathering of the exiles is approximately 50% complete.
The next few decades may very well bring yet another major shift as the United States slides more and more towards oblivion via radical progressive policies. The future is the Land of Israel.
