Most people have probably heard of Ben Shapiro. He is possibly the most famous Orthodox Jew in the world. And he views his job as an opportunity. He believes he has a duty.
This Orthodox Conservative political commentator is a proud Jew. He not only doesn’t hide it, but he uses it to bring light to the world. He has values and morals that come from the Bible. Shapiro has a very unique role given his job and his Judaism.
If someone like Ben is proud to wear his Kippah, or Yarmulke, in the spotlight, others who were hiding their Judaism should think again. He said, “When you’re committed to a system of values, people tend to treat that with more respect than the opposite.” What a beautiful and true comment.
Jews sometimes try to “blend in.” That has gotten us nowhere. It doesn’t make antisemitism go away. It doesn’t make the hate go away. We must be proud, strong, and unapologetic Jews. There is a lot to learn from Ben Shapiro – and not just in regards to his wealth of knowledge about everything political. There is a lot to learn about his dedication to his Judaism and values. It brings people in and makes them want to hear what he has to say. Thank you, Ben, for your dedication to G-d and His Torah!
