This 1 Minute Video Says More About the Jewish People Than Anything Else You’ll Watch

Hundreds of Israeli soldiers spent hours upon hours searching for their dead comrade who was killed back on October 7th while heroically saving the lives of so many. When they are done, they sing a song of belief, a song that expresses their deeply ingrained belief in the One above, in the Lord that is in charge. This encapsulates so much about what this war is truly about.

There has been some debate about what to call this war. The official name has been the War of Iron Swords. But Prime Minister Netanyahu wanted to change the name to the War of Rebirth. It remains to be seen which name will hold. But in truth, it should be called the War of the Awakening of the Jewish Spirit. Not only soldiers, but masses of civilians have been awakened to the true nature of our existence in the Land of Israel. It is an existence that is spiritual in nature, but with firm feet on the ground.

Just as in the time of Yehoshua (Joshua), when the Jewish people physically entered the Land of Israel, they were physically fighting battles and doing everything that seemingly normal countries do. But they were living a dual existence. Their heads and hearts were deep in prayer and connection with G-d while their arms were doing battle. For thousands of years, the Jewish people continued this path with ups and downs. The Maccabees were perhaps the best example of the continuation of this spiritual and physical duality.

Today the Israeli soldiers continue this path of the soldiers from Biblical times. They are fighting in the same Lands that their ancestors fought with a renewed spirit of dedication to defend the entire Jewish people. Every one of these soldiers is a Holy person with the amazing merit of continuing G-d’s work in this world. Fortunate are those who are able to know this while they literally perform G-d’s miracles with their own hands.
