World War II was one of the worst man-made disasters in the history of the world. It is arguably the most deadly series of battles ever. Over a span of around 6 years, more than 50 million people were killed, some estimate as much as 75 million – mainly unarmed civilians, and to a lesser extent – armed combatants. Blood flowed through many cities, especially capitals of Europe and Asia. Nearly every country was involved in battle. No country was the same after the war as they were beforehand.

For the Jewish people, the Holocaust was not just a major event of World War II, but perhaps the greatest tragedy to ever befall the Jewish people. The organized destruction of the Jewish people by the Nazis in Germany, which only was able to occur on the scale that it did due to much collaboration among other nationalities, was a singular event in the history of anti-Semitism. It was not merely the number of Jews that were killed. It was the total mobilization of a country that was driven by mass racist hysteria to methodically destroy the Jewish race. This led to more than 2/3 of European Jewry being destroyed and the other 1/3 largely being left homeless and broken from the effects of the war.

Under this backdrop came the true story of a small number of Jews who sought revenge after the War. It was a time of mass anarchy in Europe, and these wretched Jews had witnessed untold horror and the destruction of their families at the hand of the Nazis. Some of them fought back – after the War. This is the true story of some of these people. Were they vengeful? Absolutely. Terrorists? No. Were they right or wrong? That can be debated. But the Nazis most certainly deserved the punishment they received from these brave Jews.
