Anyone who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust should be remembered for their righteous acts.

Saving Jews During the Holocaust

It is truly remarkable that so many people risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. Whether someone was a Jew himself and risked his life to save others or whether the person was not a Jew, they were all heroic.

Władysław Bartoszewski is one of those heroes. He put his own life at risk to save as many Jewish people as he could. He could have been killed doing so. But when it came to morals, Bartoszewski knew what he had to do.

How did these people get the courage to stand up to the Nazis? To risk everything, including their own lives, to save those that they did not even know? Their courage is unreal. Their bravery is that of superheroes.

And Bartoszewski did not just act heroic once in his life against the Nazis. He also proved his superpowers when he stood up against Communism as well. Some people dedicate their lives toward bettering the world, and Władysław was one of those people.

We may not all be able to be like Władysław Bartoszewski. We may not all have the courage to do the things that he did. But we can all try a little harder. We can all do something a little greater than expected of the average person. Everyone has the potential to do something great. The question is if we will use that potential; if we will tap into that power that G-d gave us.
