Despite losing two sons in combat, Miriam Peretz continues to be a voice of inspiration to so many, including to the many soldiers she speaks to. The IDF just produced this video of her that is a must see.

Miriam Peretz is a woman who represents the spirit of this meaningful Memorial Day and its immediate jump into the celebrations of Independence Day. Even though she lost two sons in the army, she has an unbelievable attitude of appreciation and happiness for being blessed to be a Jew in our Jewish homeland. May we all be blessed to have the right attitude on life like Miriam Peretz!

Peretz, who has dedicated herself to giving educational, inspirational talks to teenagers and soldiers, received the Israel Prize for Lifetime Achievement and Special Contribution to Society for her work last year.

Both of her sons were killed in combat. Her eldest, Uriel, was killed in Lebanon at 22 years old in 1998. Her second son, Eliraz, who served in the same elite commando unit like his older brother, was killed in 2010 by terrorists, near the border with Gaza.

Miriam Peretz was born in Casablanca, Morocco. She moved to Israel in 1964, at the age of 10. She wrote a book with her full lifestory. A must read book. Click here to purchase it online.
