WhatsappNews of the terror attack aimed at Jews at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, is sending shockwaves around the world. So far, it has been reported that at least 16 innocents were gunned down at a huge Chanukah gathering. The perpetrators have been identified as Islamic terrorists. While it is too early to know if they are part of a wider network, what is clear is that the Jihadist wave that has been building over the last few years in Australia has now burst open in a bloody pogrom.
Let’s face it, this was a long time coming. Just last year, two Muslim doctors in Australia were recorded saying they would kill Jewish patients. Jews around the world have always used the excuse that Israel is just too unsafe to move to, while all the while, the Jews in the diaspora have ignored that. While Israel is certainly at war and has been at war since its reestablishment in 1948, it is now the Jewish communities in the Western World that are far more fragile than ever.
From Mamdani’s NYC to growing Jew hate and deadly violence in England, and now Australia, Jews must realize that it is time to make a decision. It’s time to recognize that the exile is closing and their home is here in the Land of Israel.
True, they can stay and fight, but the Jihadists and their Marxist allies, and now the far right led by Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, and Nick Fuentes, have already infiltrated the hearts and minds of too many. Whether it’s the antisemitic right in America or the anti-Israel mobs in Australia and England, it’s time to get out.
In the 1930s, many Jews told themselves that they were safer in Europe than in the Land of Israel. This was the case even after Hitler rose to power. Today, despite its many challenges, there is only one place we can call home, and there is only one place we are meant to stand and fight for, and that is the Land of Israel.
