Today saw another barrage of Hezbollah rockets and missiles slam into Northern Israel. With 100 projectiles hitting both the Galil and Golan by midday, the IDF struck back big in the Baalbek region of Lebanon.

“Hezbollah used these sites to store significant assets used to strengthen its weapons arsenal,” the IDF said today after the strike.

The IDF also said it targeted a building used by Hezbollah in Khiam and additional infrastructure in Bint Jbeil earlier. The Baalbek strike by the IDF was not the first, but part of a series of increased responses against the terror organization in Lebanon. Iran recently gave Hezbollah the go ahead to increase the amount of attacks it carries out against Israel – raising the specter that Israel’s North will be engulfed in full scale war sooner than expected.

The IDF has targeted close to 4,500 Hezbollah targets, mostly in Lebanon but also in Syria, since October 7. According to the IDF’s estimates, more than 300 Hezbollah operatives have been killed, including five senior commanders, and another 750 have been wounded by Israel’s strikes.
