WhatsappFree speech is under attack in America today. Colleagues are going around and silencing other people on a grass-roots level. Parents who want to speak their minds are no longer able to without threats from others. Yes, the United States is going through a major change these days, and two major events have led to this – the coronavirus pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement. The two are connected.
Whether or not one thinks in a more conspiratorial fashion and thinks that the BLM protests were planned and orchestrated to capitalize on the frustrations of the masses during the pandemic, or whether one thinks that it is simply coincidental, the results have been the same. The central government in America has taken a sharp left turn towards more socialistic policies and the government, with the support of many people are deeply involved in curtailing freedoms for many people today.
There is a good chance that in 2022, Congress will see a sweeping move back to the Republican side as a response to the massive shift. But that is certainly not something to rely on. Meanwhile, the government is leading America to historic highs of unemployment and taxation. That double duo is probably the main trigger of inflation. And today, anybody who visits a gas station across America is being hit by inflation. Americans are not stupid. If they are receiving handouts for being unemployed, but need to double their gas costs each week, they know that this is just a cosmetic solution to their problems.
Let the arguments fly and let the more socialistic elements speak their minds vs. the more capitalistic elements. Perhaps some of the socialist ideas have some merit. But if the American population is given the choice, they will not choose lack of freedom, but for more freedom.
