WhatsappThe missile attack in Be’er Sheva, in Southern Israel did not surprise anyone. Even though it had been some time since the city had been attacked, the people of the South are in no way under any illusion that the Hamas terror group is resting on its laurels.
Crude bombs. That is what CNN anchors have termed some of the bombs that Hamas uses to bomb Israeli cities. These images were taken right after a direct hit from a Hamas bombing of the city of Be’er Sheva. Be’er Sheva is a city of 200,000+ residents. That means that 200,000 people ran into shelters in the middle of the night because of a terror organization at Israel’s southwestern border. This is absurd. Israel cannot allow this kind of an attack to go unanswered. But is there an effective solution?
Solution to the Problem
The solution that works best – is the solution that the Arab population understands best – facts on the ground. Israel needs to retake the Land that they gave away around 12 years ago. This can be done in a gradual manner. It need not be done in one fell swoop. But the Arabs need to understand that every parcel of land that they use as a staging ground for a missile attack will be taken from them. This works and they understand this kind of language. It is simple, logical, and it intimidates. The Arabs hate when Jews extend their Land. That is what we need to do. We need to get to the point that Arabs are scared of punishment.
