Paraguay officially named some of the world’s worst terrorist organizations. The spokesperson for the Department of State explains why it’s important.

US Commend’s Paraguay

Paraguay joined the list of countries who have officially labeled terror organizations like Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and Hamas for what they are. Although it is obvious to most of us hopefully, some countries are a bit slower at making the move to designate terrorists as terrorists.

It is so much more than just a name game. Designating the world’s worst terrorist organizations as just that – terrorist organizations – shows which side a country wants to play for. It shows that they understand the real threat these organizations pose to the Western World. And as the US Department of State spokesperson Morgan Ortagus explained, it helps prevent terror attacks and helps stop terrorists from fundraising. The more people who name the problem, the more people there are to stop the problem.

Why Won’t Others Fight Terrorism?

Every country should be following suit and specifically designate those organizations as terrorist organizations. There is not even a question. It is not a matter of opinion; it is a matter of fact. For those who cannot recognize the truth, they must be completely blind. Terrorism is terrorism. It is obvious, and it does not shield itself from what it really is. So why should anyone else?
