Multiple Terror Attacks In Judea And Samaria Should Be Ringing Alarm Bells

A string of terror attacks over the last 48 hours appear to be a coordinated response to Israel’s successful push against Hamas in both Gaza and Jenin.

The first two attacks involved vehicles filled with explosives meant to blow up almost simultaneous in the Tzomet HaGush gas station and further south in the community of Karmei Tzur, both failed resulting in property damage, light injuries to Israelis, and the deaths of both terrorists.

The third attack came this morning when three policemen were shot to death northwest of Hebron near the security checkpoint of Tarkumia. The officers were identified as Chief Inspector Arik Ben Eliyahu, First Sergeant Roni Shakuri, and Command Sergeant Major Hadas Brentz.

Hamas has been attempting multiple attacks over the last weeks with coordination coming from cells across Judea and Samaria. The attacks over the last 48 hours appear to be a response to the IDF’s counter terror operations over the last five days in Jenin.

Jenin terror leaders in fact posted the following statement, begging for help as they lose their grip on Jenin, and the city’s residents evacuated:

“If Jenin falls, there will be no support for the West Bank after today, and all the cities and villages of the West Bank will await their turn in destruction and ruin. The West Bank is not waking up for Jenin’s victory despite the four days of fighting that have passed. Jenin will not be able to defend other areas in the West Bank due to the current conditions. If you do not act for Jenin’s victory, do not expect the situation to be good for you tomorrow.”

“Why are you waiting, no one knows. Why are you standing aside and continuing to live normal lives? Why this silence? A person loves to see his brother standing by his side and not standing and looking at him from the side, even if he is strong…”

The current spate of terror attacks are an ominous sign that a real war in Judea and Samaria may have already arrived. Despite the IDF’s successful incursion and taking over of Jenin, Hamas’ apparatus in Hebron, Shchem, and elsewhere remains intact and ready for war.

Is this a third Intifada or something far worse?
