Although it is difficult to keep hearing details from the horrific Hamas massacre on October 7, we must know every person’s story. The world must know every person’s story. Sarit Kurtzman and her family on Kibbutz Alumim were thank G-d saved. She experienced miracles. And she retells those miracles in this interview.
It would be absolutely insane if only one family experienced what Sarit experienced and went through. It would be tragic and horrifying.
And now multiply that by all of the harrowing accounts from that horribly painful day. There are so many stories. So many lives that were changed forever. So many scars that can never be healed. Can the world really look at a woman like Sarit and say she’s the evil one? Can the world really say that her baby and her husband who were hiding alongside her in their safe room are the ones at fault? When will the world wake up?
The Jewish people are hurting and bleeding. But we will never give up. Despite the world’s cruel attitude toward the people of Israel, we are strong and determined. We might have battle wounds, but our enemies will never break us. We might have scars, but those scars will not destroy us. The Jewish people have been pushed down many times, and we have never stayed down. We have always gotten back up. And now is no different. As Sarit said about the Jewish nation, “We win. That’s what we do.”
