Today’s main refugees are from the Ukraine. Millions of people have been forced to flee from Ukraine in order to not be caught in Vladimir Putin’s merciless bombings of civilian centers across Ukraine.
Most of the refugees have run away to Poland and hope to go back to their homes. They are mainly women and children, and most of their husbands are busy on the front confronting Russia. Will they be able to return to their homes? If they are in Eastern Ukraine, probably not. Western Ukraine, probably yes. Southern and Central Ukraine are still the unclear question marks.
The war is dragging on and there is no clear end in sight. There are many organizations that have risen to the occasion and are helping. But the numbers are indeed staggering.
