Israel’s concerns in terms of the war in Russia and Ukraine can be summed up in one word – Iran. PM Netanyahu and his leadership are absolutely correct in noting that Israel’s focus is not on the details of the actual war itself, but the repercussions of the war on Israel’s national security.
What many people do not realize is how close Israel and the Ukraine are geographically. It is a short three hour flight from Israel to the Ukraine. Russian soldiers are close to Iran because Russia is so geographically close to Iran. There is no way around it. Russian soldiers are located on the borders of Iran and are a critical part of Israel’s security plan versus Iran.
Israel must always keep their eye on the ball of the #1 priority – Israel’s security.
