Israeli PM Netanyahu reacted to Iran’s recent announcement that it now holds over 300 kilograms of low-enriched uranium. Netanyahu says this is additional proof that Iranian leaders have lied to the world over their nuclear intentions, and gone against their commitments in Obama’s Iran nuclear deal. Netanyahu then called upon European countries to finally hold up to their commitment and sanction Iran.

Iran announced on Monday that it had broken the limit on its stockpile of low-enriched uranium set by the 2015 nuclear deal. This marked Iran’s first major departure from the agreement a year after President Trump unilaterally withdrew the United States from the deal.

In response to this news, Israeli PM Netanyahu publicly expressed that “when we exposed the secret Iranian nuclear archive [in April 2018], we proved that any nuclear agreement with Iran is built on one big lie. Now even Iran acknowledges this. Soon will be revealed additional proofs that Iran has been lying this whole time.”

Netanyahu repeated his promise not to allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons and he called upon the European countries, that are signatories to the nuclear deal, to hold Iran accountable.

“They [the Europeans] promised to act the moment Iran violates the nuclear deal. They promised they would automatically enact sanctions that were imposed by the [UN] Security Council,” the prime minister said.

Netanyahu then made a direct appeal to the Europeans in English: “Do it, Just do it.”
