Israel responded immediately by attacking the location where Hezbollah terrorists launched the RPG rockets.
What Happened
Hezbollah fired 2-3 RPG anti-tank missiles from Lebanon, hitting an IDF military outpost and ambulance in northern Israel. The IDF immediately fired back at the Hezbollah squad responsible. No Israelis were injured in the attack.
IDF Statement: Approximately two hours ago, a number of anti-tank missiles were fired from Lebanese territory at an IDF base and vehicles near Avivim. No IDF injuries were reported, a number of hits have been confirmed. IDF responded with artillery fire towards the sources of fire and an IDF aircraft targeted the missile squad. The IDF continues to maintain a high level of readiness – defensive and offensive- for a wide range of scenarios. Civilian restrictions have been lifted excluding agricultural work in immediate proximity to the security fence.
Hizbollah has taken responsibility for the attack.
Prime Minister Netanyahu confirms that miraculously no injuries on the Israeli side, the IDF fired over 100 Artillery hits into Lebanon… For now, it’s quiet on both sides
PM Netanyahu: “Around one hour ago, I held a consultation with the Chief-of-Staff and with IDF generals. We were attacked with several anti-tank missiles. We responded with 100 shells and firing from the air by various means. We are considering the next steps.”
Missiles fired from Lebanon into Israel. Iran has proxies in Lebanon & Gaza that harm Israel, undermine chances for peace & threaten a better future for Palestinians. The US stands w/ Israel & fully supports its right to defend itself against all attacks.
